style crush: elastic waist skirts & a tutorial

I have been crushing on wide-waisted and elastic waist skirts and dresses. It looks like these are going to be a wardrobe staple for Spring.

I've tried on a few of these skirts but none of them fit quite right. They were either too short or too poofy. Now I can make my own elastic waist skirt using the tutorial over at the Freshly Picked blog.

Imagine the fabric possibilities!

I've been loving this style too, I think every skirt and dress I have bought has the elastic belt. Target has a really cute selection!

I have the same problem with these skirts, too short or poofy. Thanks for the link, I have a couple of long skirts I want to convert.

I know! I love skirts for that very reason, the great fabric you can cut into and show off!
