Craft Show Readiness, Craft Gossip, & Quiting Your Day Job

BarbeBarbe Saint John has got a terrific blog post with Tips for doing a large Arts & Crafts Show. I've read me an article or two with some good tips and planning ideas for doing a craft fair, but she's thought of some good ones that I haven't read about before! And I can totally relate to the whole Bridezilla like tantrum, because I've had many a freak-out looking for that essential display item. You should also check Barbe out on Craft Gossip, she's the jewelry-making editor over there.

Speaking of Craft Gossip, did I tell you that I'll be featured in the Craft Artist Life section sometime this week?

JenniferWhat's even more exciting is that the Craft Artist Life editor — the person who interviewed me — is the one and only, Jennifer Perkins of the Naughty Secretary Club! I cannot tell you how honored and humbled I am to be interviewed by my craft idol. Jennifer is not only an amazing jewelry designer and business woman, but she's also got a book coming out in August that is promising to be a goodie (see the countdown ticker on the right side of my blog). I've already seen some sneak peaks of the projects inside, and I can't wait to own my own copy.

DennisWhile I'm giving props to my fellow crafters, I have to give a big thumbs up to Sacramento soap maker and IndieSacramento vendor, Dennis Anderson for quiting his day job! Dennis was recently featured on Etsy and has some great tips for running a successful Etsy shops — and how to tell when it's finally time to take the plunge.
